Expanding Rose-Hulman's Involvement in the Terre Haute Community

It was one of the finest honors of my life when, on November 15, the Rose-Hulman Board of Trustees asked me to take the helm as the institute’s 16th president. It was especially meaningful for me because I’ve had the privilege of serving here for nearly 30 years, starting as controller in 1989 and most recently as senior vice president and chief administrative officer. Inhale grit and exhale achievement. Let’s go on a run! With the leaves falling and the air chilling it’s the perfect time to get out of your home and enjoy an invigorating jog. There are many popular area running locations but here are a few of our favorite routes. Run them individually or pair them together to get a little more distance in, it’s up to you to decide. COLLETT PARK On Terre Haute’s north side sits Collett Park, a 21-acre green space surrounded by a historic neighborhood. New window decals will soon be appearing in local business storefronts to increase awareness of the informational site terrehaute.com. Designed to raise awareness of local community assets, the site includes information on local events & activities, restaurants, parks, museums, shopping, hotels, places of worship, ways to get connected and more. The site is a useful resource for local residents, college students and visitors alike.
