Chamber Announces Advisory Board for West Central Indiana 2025

The next steps and online presence for a regional branding initiative and overall regional platform was announced today by the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Terre Haute firm, RJL Solutions.

During a presentation held at Ivy Tech Community College, Chamber Vice President Kristin Craig detailed future plans for West Central Indiana 2025. Also during Thursday’s presentation RJL Solutions Brand Ambassador Anna Madden unveiled a new logo, website and social media presence.

“While the need for regionalism is sometimes hard to quantify, it does exist,” Craig explains. “We’re trying to bring these counties together in a new and collaborative way; in which we can become familiar with each other’s assets and engage in opportunities that could benefit any or all of our counties.”

West Central 2025, which is described by Craig as a regional branding initiative and movement. It places emphasis on establishing goals for the West Central Indiana region, and accomplishing those goals by the year 2025. The initiative will be housed under the Chamber umbrella and includes representation on an advisory board from six counties - Vermillion, Parke, Sullivan, Clay, Putnam and Vigo. Craig says that by working together as a larger group and establishing West Central Indiana as a viable location in the state, the area will become more competitive on a state level for funding, law making, business growth and more. Craig explained that county representatives and advisory board members are still being sought out. Interested representatives from any of the six counties should reach out. Those with information and assets to share via the web site are also encouraged to provide those resources.

Thursday’s announcement also detailed plans for the Chamber and RJL Solutions to continue developing a visual regional identity. Madden and Betsy Peperak, Director of Strategic Communications at RJL Solutions, will continue to work on the organizational presence (logo, website) and a branding project with expected completion in early 2019.
